Women empowerment
Women's empowerment and achieving gender equality is essential for our society to ensure the sustainable development of the country. Because Many world leaders and scholars have argued that sustainable development is impossible without gender equality and women's empowerment Entire nations, businesses, communities and groups can benefit from the implementation of programs and policies that adopt the notion of women empowerment. Many of the barriers to women's empowerment and equity lie ingrained in cultural norms. Many women feel these pressures, while others have become accustomed to being treated inferior to men.
SO-FAR is working on the development of women who contribute to the well-being of their family and communities but still being discriminated by the male dominance. Workshop and training camp are being organized by the SO-FAR in rural areas for enhancing the growth of women’s. More and more women are getting literate by taking them to the Night schools or the ADULT EDUCATION CENTERS in state. In terms of leadership development seats in Panchayats and municipalities provides reservation for the various elected post and many poor and illiterate women get elected for these institutions. Various policies and programs of the government for women empowerment are not much effective because of inadequate resources and even not proper implementation of schemes are done which are made for the uplift of women.
