Urban and rural planning plays an important role in society, and affects the way we all live. The Urban and Rural Planning Network seeks to support municipalities that are Integrating transit-oriented development and walk able communities in their overall planning. Municipalities have many policy and regulatory tools available to them, including building density requirements, site planning for pedestrian safety, and development of public green spaces.

In the last four decades, many programs and schemes were created for rural development but the villagers did not get the full benefit of them. Perhaps these plans have been lacking in determining the priorities of rural development or in their implementation.

So-FAR is first looking that each area of village and tribal dwellers getting benefit of government schemes by local authority or not.
